Provide independent psychological assessment and intervention within areas of specializationBoard Certified Clinical NeuropsychologistResponsibilitiesManagerialEnsuring and participating in providing coverage to the various service areas or populations and settingsCollaborating with senior clinical psychologists in the provision of consultative services internally and externallyTechnicalProviding highly specialist one-to-one clinical psychological consultations within areas of specializationProviding psychological interventions for individuals, families and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypothesesCoordinating the assessment and formulation of risk management plans for clients within their case load and contribute to the formulation of risk management plans for other clients within the serviceParticipating in decision making for and evaluating treatment options, taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or groupPromoting high quality psychological services to patients and carers, via direct clinical work and indirectly by collaboration with other team membersProviding psychological services (as an autonomous/independent practitioner) to service-users, carers and team colleaguesProviding advice to multi-disciplinary teams on the psychological aspects of the needs assessment and care planning processDeveloping psychosocial formulations for those service-users with the most highly complex problems so as to inform and guide intervention strategiesExercising professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and or referral of clients whose problems are managed by psychologically based intervention plansProviding casework for people experiencing severe psychological difficulties. To prioritize workload to ensure that skills are used to address the more severe and complex psychological presentations within this area of workQuality & SafetyPromoting and maintaining quality in all services and ensure continuous quality improvement measures are in place.
