Job Description

<div><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and organize clinical areas (inclusive of waiting areas) for patient presence, consultations and procedures.</li><li>Provide non-interventional assistance to licensed healthcare professionals during medical examinations and treatments (e.g. chaperoning, consumable/room preparation and turn around)</li><li>When trained and competent, perform basic patient care tasks, such as helping with mobility, bed making and personal hygiene, all at the instruction and supervisionof the licensed healthcare professional.</li><li>When trained and competent, ensure medical equipment is sterilized and cleaned and ready for use according to NMC Policy.</li><li>Manage patient records, updating information and ensuring confidentiality and data protection.</li><li>Schedule patient appointments and handle admissions/discharges, inclusive of follow up discharge phone calls</li><li>Monitor inventory of medical supplies and restock as needed.</li><li>Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families when required and following the instruction of the healthcare professional.</li><li>Adhere to all safety, health, and infection control procedures.</li><li>Speak up, if something isn't right.</li><li>Maintain awareness of and comply with, the NMC Policies and Procedures</li><li>Participate in all activities related to DOH/DHA/MOH/MOHAP and NMC Quality Improvement when required</li><li>Understand Uphold the regulatory and accreditation standards and which of them apply to their daily working practice</li><li>Support in the escort of patients within and between departments</li><li>Transport patient specimens in accordance to NMC Policy.</li><li>Strictly adhere to the regulator Scope of Practice.</li><li>Escalate and raise concerns using the incident reporting system.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>High school diploma or equivalent (some employers may require additional certification or training)</p></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
