Join us and shape your story with Mott MacDonald, where everyone has the opportunity to be brilliant.Job DescriptionMain Purpose of the JobMott MacDonald is currently looking for a Civil/Structural Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting the installation of steel and concrete structural works within a metro rehabilitation projects, ensuring their compliancy with the codes and standards within the contract.Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:Provide professional support to the project team, helping to ensure high quality service delivery and a co-ordinated response to clientsInvolve delegated trust and authority, together with the use of initiative, at a level commensurate with the status of the postCheck site conditions for suitability prior to constructionDevelop and maintain the Quality Management System, Quality Management Plan in line with legislation, certification, contract requirements and parent company governanceObserve, check and record work execution is in accordance with approved methodsManage QA implementation and assure full compliance with extensive QA/QC processesCheck setting-out and levelsCheck services locations and ensure their protectionRecord inspections, tests, work executed etc.Observe site safety procedures and actively monitor and report on contractor’s safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required.Actively monitor implementation of contractor’s quality procedures and raise non-conformance reports when required.Assist in the preparation of ‘As Built’ drawingsTo undertake specific projects as required.Candidate SpecificationDegree in Civil Engineering or any relevant engineering; additional certificates or qualifications in Health and Safety would be preferredRelevant experience in building construction projectsProven experience in managing all HSE matters on large construction sitesExperience within a consultancy environment is preferredExperience of working on a metro stations would be advantageousContinuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams and projects.Flexible workingAt Mott MacDonald, we support our staff to create work-life balance which works for them and welcome candidates looking for career flexibility.
