Job Description
Job SummaryThe Chief Portfolio Officer (CPO) provides comprehensive strategic oversight of the company's investment portfolio across social infrastructure, oil & gas, power generation, and infrastructure & petrochemical sectors. The CPO is responsible for driving strategic planning, business development, investment prioritization, and ensuring the effective execution and management of megaprojects from inception to operation and maintenance.Job Responsibilities 1Lead the strategic management and governance of the company's investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and maximizing value creation.Drive the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities and strategic investments, ensuring a robust pipeline aligned with market trends and organizational goals.Oversee the prioritization and selection of projects and programs, ensuring they deliver maximum strategic and financial returns.Monitor the performance of the portfolio through KPIs and governance frameworks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.Champion continuous improvement and optimization initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of portfolio management and project delivery to handover (if any).Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and corporate standards across all portfolio initiatives, mitigating risks and ensuring robust control mechanisms.Oversight of megaprojects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering them on time, within scope, and budget.Drive the integration of advanced tools, technologies, and systems to enhance portfolio visibility, decision-making, and operational efficiency.Job Responsibilities 2Establish and lead a high-performing portfolio management team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and excellence in execution.Develop and implement portfolio governance frameworks, processes, and decision-making criteria to ensure transparency and accountability.Provide strategic direction on resource allocation, investment strategies, and capital deployment across projects and programs to optimize returns.Drive organizational alignment between strategic planning, business development, and project execution, ensuring cohesive delivery and benefits realization.Promote a value-driven culture focused on achieving and sustaining high performance and strategic impact.Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards across all portfolio initiatives.Job ExperienceMinimum 20 years of professional experience, including 15 years in senior management or leadership roles related to strategy, portfolio, or program management.Experience in the GCC region is considered an advantage.EducationBachelor's degree in engineeringMaster's degree (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Strategic Management, or other related fields) is considered as advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
