OverviewDate: 5 Feb 2026 | Location: Sharjah, AE | Company: University Hospital SharjahPosition SummaryTo assess patient needs, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of patient care. Direct junior and auxiliary team members. Provide safe quality ethical nursing care in accordance with the Hospital, international and federal standards and regulations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a sound knowledge and clinical practice in chemotherapy administration in accordance to UHS policy, guidelines and protocolResponsible for the safe and timely administration of all aspects of intravenous and oral chemotherapy medicationsMaintain a detailed knowledge in management of extravasation in accordance to UHS protocol and guidelinesMaintain a sound knowledge and clinical practice in accessing, de-accessing and care of port-A-catheterIt is the responsibility of the oncology nurse on safely discard the cytotoxic waste in accordance to UHS policy and procedureThe prevention of possible exposure to cytotoxic agent in all form to the members of the team and patient’s relative is a responsibility of the oncology nurse following the UHS protocolsIt is the responsibility of the oncology nurse to protect her/his own health, preventing exposure to cytotoxic agent in all forms through wearing personal protective equipment as per UHS guidelines and protocolsAssessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care plans for patients to ensure the delivery of safety, high standard of careRequiredPosition Requirements/QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of nursing holding a BSc Nursing / Diploma of Nursing, not less than 3 years study durationMinimum 2 years post-graduation experience with at least 1 year in current specialtyBLS certificateDesirableAdvanced Life supportLicenses/RegistrationCurrent license in country of originUAE Ministry of Health LicenseWithin three months of employmentBLS certificatePosition Criteria / Other Skills/Abilities2 years post graduate experienceComputer literate familiar with Microsoft Word, ExcelMust be fluent in written and spoken English; spoken Arabic is an advantageAdvantagePrevious UAE experienceExperience in a commissioning environmentExperience of working in International accredited hospital (JCIA)Participated in Preceptors/Education programsOther Skills/AbilitiesHave knowledge of current evidence-based nursing practiceDemonstrate proven success in collaborating with peers & colleagues and able to work in a diverse multi-cultural environmentBasic data management & analytical skillsApply now »#J-18808-Ljbffr
