Chargehand - Steel Structure

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand - Steel Structure to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand you will play a crucial role in overseeing the fabrication and assembly of steel structures ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety standards.Lead and supervise a team of steel structure fabricators and weldersInterpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to plan and execute projectsCoordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to team membersEnsure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environmentPerform quality control inspections on completed workTroubleshoot issues and implement solutions to maintain project timelinesCollaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure smooth project executionMonitor and maintain inventory of materials and equipmentTrain and mentor team members to improve their skills and productivityPrepare and submit progress reports to managementQualifications : Minimum 5 years of experience in steel structure fabrication with 2-3 years in a supervisory roleHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plusWelding certification (e.g. AWS) and OSHA safety certificationExtensive knowledge of steel structure fabrication techniques and processesProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesDetail-oriented with a focus on quality control and precisionEffective communication skills in English both verbal and writtenFamiliarity with construction project management principlesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesWillingness to work in outdoor conditions and at heights when necessaryValid work authorization for Dubai United Arab EmiratesAdditional Information : Must have a valid Family bookRemote Work : NoEmployment Type : Full-time Key Skills Financial Services,Computer Software,ABAP,Firewall,Front Office Management,Ftp Experience: years Vacancy: 1
