Charge Nurse - Critical Care

<ul><li>Lead and supervise ICU nursing staff during assigned shifts</li><li>Ensure optimal care for critically ill patients, including ventilated and hemodynamically unstable cases</li><li>Assign patient loads based on acuity, staffing levels, and nurse competencies</li><li>Monitor patient conditions and intervene or escalate clinical concerns as needed</li><li>Oversee the use and management of critical care equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors)</li><li>Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care</li><li>Manage ICU admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently</li><li>Respond to emergencies, including code blue situations, and support resuscitation efforts</li><li>Ensure adherence to infection control policies and patient safety standards</li><li>Handle patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy</li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation processes (e.g., JCI)</li><li>Mentor and support junior nurses and newly hired ICU staff</li></ul>#J-18808-Ljbffr
