This senior leadership role will drive the department's scientific vision, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and advance translational genomics from discovery to clinical application.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine, implement, and continuously refine departmental goals, policies, and procedures.Lead strategic planning, budget management, and cost-effective operations.Build and manage multidisciplinary teams, ensuring excellence in research, education, and patient care.Direct large-scale genomic research initiatives and translational programs.Partner with internal and external stakeholders to publish high-impact scientific papers and secure funding.Oversee recruitment, credentialing, and retention of top-tier professionals.Promote innovation and education, ensuring the department remains at the forefront of genomic medicine.Specific RequirementsEducational QualificationsPhD, MD, or MD/PhD in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field in Research & Development.Research LeadershipMinimum of 12 years of experience leading large-scale genomic research programs.Proven track record of high-impact publications and securing extramural funding.Technical ExpertiseDeep experience in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and bioinformatics pipelines.Expertise in integrating large-scale omic datasets into clinical frameworks.Clinical/Translational BackgroundDemonstrated success in bench-to-bedside initiatives, moving genomic discoveries into clinical trials or diagnostic applications.Administrative ExperienceProven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, departmental budgets, and strategic partnerships between academic and clinical stakeholders.Proficient in team and talent development initiatives.CompetenciesLeadership and professional knowledge at role model level.Excellence in education/training, employee relations, and quality standards.Strong collaboration, innovation, and change management skills.Patient and customer service orientation with achievement-driven focus.Why Join Us?This Riyadh-based institution is internationally recognized as atop-tier healthcare and research center, offering world-class facilities, advanced technologies, and a collaborative environment that fosters innovation.
