Job Description
The Category Manager for the seafood oversees end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficient procurement, quality control, inventory management, and distribution. The role focuses on aligning operational processes with business objectives to drive profitability, customer satisfaction, and growth within the seafood segment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Strategy & PlanningDevelop and execute strategies to optimize category performance while aligning with overall business objectives and market demand.Supply Chain ManagementOversee sourcing, procurement, and logistics to ensure a consistent, high-quality seafood supply. Manage supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable deliveries.Inventory & DistributionMonitor inventory to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and meet customer demand. Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely and efficient distribution.Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement best practices in handling, storage, and distribution to maintain product freshness and safety.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and develop cross-functional teams across procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations. Support capability building through training and performance management.Customer Relationship ManagementCollaborate with sales and marketing teams to address customer needs and feedback. Build strong relationships with key accounts to enhance satisfaction and retention.Performance Monitoring & ReportingTrack and analyze KPIs such as cost efficiency, service levels, and profitability. Provide regular insights and reports to senior management.Market Awareness & AdaptationStay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activity, adapting strategies to maintain competitiveness.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum 5-8 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the seafood or foodservice industry.Proven track record in supply chain optimization and team leadership.Knowledge of HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) industry dynamics is an advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
