Category Development Officer

To support the execution of category and trade marketing initiatives across channels by ensuring strong in-store presence, effective promotional implementation, and data-driven category insights. The role focuses on bridging planning and execution by working closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to deliver consistent visibility and drive category growth.Key Accountabilities1. Category Execution & In-Store ExcellenceSupport the implementation of category plans across different channels (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, etc.).Ensure proper execution of planograms and in-store visibility standards.Monitor product placement, availability, and compliance with agreed guidelines.Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution in stores.2. Trade Marketing & PromotionsAssist in executing trade marketing activities, promotions, and in-store campaigns.Coordinate the deployment of POS materials and visibility assets.Track promotional activities and ensure alignment with the agreed calendar.Support in evaluating promotion performance and highlighting improvement areas.3. Data Analysis & ReportingCollect and analyze sales data, market trends, and in-store execution feedback.Prepare regular reports on category performance, promotions, and visibility.Identify gaps and opportunities to improve category performance.Support the team with insights to optimize future plans.4. Cross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with Sales teams to ensure execution of category and trade initiatives.Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability for promotions and launches.Liaise with Marketing/Trade Marketing teams to align on campaign execution.Support communication between head office and field teams.5. Planning & Administrative SupportAssist in building promotional calendars and tracking execution timelines.Support in preparing presentations, business cases, and internal reports.Maintain accurate records of trade activities, budgets, and performance tracking.Ensure timely follow-up on action plans and deliverables.Job RequirementsEducational level: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in Sales, Commercial, Trade Marketing, or a related role, preferably within FMCG.Proven experience supporting sales planning, forecasting, and trade or promotional activities.Good understanding of retail channels and in-store execution.Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret sales, market, and financial data.Good understanding of sales processes, trade marketing principles, and route-to-market dynamics.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Languages: Arabic and Good English.SkillsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.Ability to work cross-functionally and build productive working relationships.Proactive, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Strong problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement approach.#J-18808-Ljbffr
