Job Description
Job Description As a Cash Application Team Member at Nouryon Finance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments, thereby supporting healthy cash flow and maintaining clean Accounts Receivable aging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post and apply various types of payments (wire, ACH, credit card, checks, lockbox, etc.) in SAP ERP systems.
- Match remittances, resolve discrepancies, and clear deductions efficiently.
- Reconcile daily cash postings with bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Provide support for month-end closing activities, reporting, and reconciliation of unapplied cash.
Issue Resolution & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Credit, Collections, Sales, and Customer Service teams to resolve payment-related issues promptly.
- Communicate with customers to obtain missing remittances and address concerns effectively.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Compliance & Controls:
- Adhere to company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements to ensure compliance.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Finance/Accounting degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable or Cash Application.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics), with preference for SAP experience.
- Strong Excel skills along with analytical and communication abilities.
