Carpentry Technician

Job DescriptionExamples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. The following duties are listed both as trade‑specific and shared responsibilities.Installation, maintenance, manufacturing, modification, troubleshooting, and repairing of Carpentry/aluminum trade‑related works.Repairing and manufacturing of miscellaneous items of wooden structures such aswood benches, tables, cabinets, signs, chairs, floors (carpet, parquet, vinyl, etc.), roofs, wall sidings, doors, installation of partitions, walls, and doors, etc.;Repairing and installation of locks, door checks, windowsBuilding forms (frames) for pouring concrete.Inspecting wooden structures for the safety of operation.Carrying out all allocated preventive and corrective maintenance.Measuring, marking, and arranging materials according to the drawing and direction of the immediate in‑charge.Estimating the works with all requirements like material, manpower, and duration to complete the works.Cutting and shaping materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall with hand and power tools (i.e. chisels, planes, electric drills, lipping machine, plywood cutting machine, wood cutting machine, plainer machine, pressing machine, air compressor, band saw machine, etc.).Coordinating with coworkers and the immediate in‑charge of the organizing and completion of carpentry/aluminum works.Coordinating with superiors to complete work efficiently.Responding to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns and complaints.Maintaining appropriate service and repair records.Responding to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.Covering surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure the protection of assets, like furniture, computers, other electronic equipment, flooring, etc., if required.Knowing how to request the required carpentry/aluminum material and associated tools and accessories to execute the job.Having basic knowledge to erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging to get access to difficult areas; moving furniture and equipment, as necessary.Barricading/isolating the areas during the work execution as per the site requirement.Making the area neat and tidy after completion of the job, removing unwanted/remaining items from the work‑executed place as per the instruction of the immediate in‑charge and storing them in the designated area as directed by the immediate superior.Cleaning up all equipment, including tools and the works area.Minimum QualificationAcademic Qualification: High SchoolTechnical Qualification: Trade certification in Carpenter works.Preferred QualificationExperience: 5 years and above in a similar field and Gulf Experience at least a minimum of 3 years.Expected SkillsExcellent knowledge of installation/ maintenance of carpentry-related machineries. Theoretical knowledge and extensive experience in maintaining carpentry tools and equipment. Ability to work at height or in a confined space. Ability to carry out work‑related material, equipment/tools (like carpentry tools and equipment or as directed by immediate in‑charge / supervisor). Able to assist the supervisor or immediate in‑charge with requesting materials according to site requirements. Able to work independently or with minimum supervision. Outstanding physical/fitness skills, easy‑going, teamwork capability. Exceptional sense of creativity in the said field. Flexible to work during the weekend.Close Date24/04/2026#J-18808-Ljbffr
