Job Description

Responsibility DescriptionThe Car Courier is responsible for handling the collection and dispatch of documents according to pre-defined rules and regulations in a timely and accurate manner.Customer Support and ServiceFollows appropriate service etiquette (greeting and welcome, tone of voice) to support and provide service to customersProvides assistance to customers in ensuring that all air waybill information is duly filled with as per requirementsManages difficult customer situations, responding promptly to the needs of the customers; identifies and escalates issues as and when requiredProvides required guidance and information to customers using the available resources.Ensure timely collections and Pick Ups at the specific Client locationObtain signatures and payments or arrange for recipient to make paymentsCoordinate with dispatch for deliveryDetect and report missing, incorrect paperwork, undeliverable consignmentCoordinate with Operations for timely pick‑up and delivery of shipmentsTrack Collections against pick upsEnsure all deliveries are as per the delivery schedulesEnsure all assignments are taken care of in a prompt and safe mannerObtain signatures and payments, or arrange for recipients to make Escalates all issues unresolved or difficult to handle to the SupervisorResponsibility Description ContinueCompany Vehicle MaintenanceDrive with RTA regulations and follow established traffic and transportation procedures to avoid Fines and damage to the bikeEnsure that daily/ weekly checks of all vehicles of Zajel are performed correctly and to report any mechanical problems encountered with vehiclesCoordinate all repairs of the vehicle to designated workshop and ensure the vehicle is back in good conditionEnsure all renewals pertaining to the Vehicle like insurance, registration, fuel card etc are completed in a timely mannerUpdates his/her own attendance records in a timely and accurate manner.Handling EscalationsResponsible for escalating issues and ensuring that issue gets resolved at their level.Maintains Customer Information ConfidentialityEnsures customer information security by adhering to strict guidelines for collecting, processing, and recording information collected from the customer in the course of routine operationsResponsibility Description Continue..Self-DevelopmentStrives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency in all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees with the manager to ensure that the required training courses are arranged and attended.Sets the performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.MIS and ReportsPrepare timely and accurate MIS statements and reports as required.Responsibility Description Continue...Policies, Systems, and ProceduresProvides feedback regularly on the effectiveness and soundness of policies and procedures.Ensures that policies and processes fulfil all procedural/legislative requirements while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.Understand and embrace the corporate information security framework and perform duties according to the policy, procedures, standards, and guidelines.Quality Management and Continuous ImprovementEnsures compliance with all relevant quality management procedures and controls to guarantee compliance and delivery of high-quality service.Stimulates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.Academic/ Vocational QualificationsHigh School Graduate / Diploma or equivalent required#J-18808-Ljbffr
