C&I BESS Technical Solution Engineer

The C&I BESS Technical Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing expert-level pre-sales and technical enablement support for Sungrow’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the MENA & Central Asia region.This role ensures that all Sungrow C&I BESS opportunities are supported with technically sound, commercially aligned, and optimized solutions that meet both project and customer requirements. The Engineer delivers this support primarily through local and regional Technical Solutions Engineers, enabling them to front customer discussions with accurate, consistent, and updated technical content.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Pre-Sales Technical Support & Solution DesignCollaborate with regional Technical Solutions Engineers to develop complete C&I BESS technical proposals (architecture, sizing, product selection).Prepare technical offer documentation aligned with commercial proposals.Draft/review technical agreements to ensure compliance with product, warranty, and grid standards.Lead creation of SLDs, integration drawings, and datasheets for proposals.Provide technical inputs for RFQ/RFP evaluations and tender submissions.Review and approve all regional technical offers before external release to ensure accuracy and consistency.Validate all technical agreements before contract or PO issuance.Route all deliverables and communications through Regional Technical Solutions Engineers.B. EMS Configuration & Control LogicSupport EMS architecture, functional design, and control logic during pre-sales.Coordinate with HQ on customer‑specific EMS requirements.Evaluate and communicate site‑specific EMS/SCADA integration needs.Guide regional engineers on EMS configurations to ensure unified standards.C. Partner & Channel Technical EnablementProvide indirect partner support through regional engineers to ensure consistent technical quality.Develop training materials, documentation, and solution templates.Review partner system designs and advise on compliance with Sungrow standards.Support or supervise partner/EPC training, workshops, and webinars.D. Internal Coordination & Technical GovernanceAlign regional solutions with current product configurations.Support regional engineers in customer discussions requiring advanced expertise or HQ coordination.Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge on certifications, safety standards, and regulations.Participate in internal design reviews to ensure alignment with warranty, compliance, and delivery policies.Collect feedback from Service and Project Execution teams to identify design gaps.Provide structured feedback to Ola Hasan and HQ Product Line for product improvements.Maintain internal knowledge libraries and templates.3. Qualifications & RequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or related technical field.Master’s degree or relevant professional certification preferred.ExperienceMinimum 4–6 years of experience in pre‑sales, system design, or technical solutions within the solar or energy storage industry.Proven experience in developing technical offers and proposals for C&I‑scale BESS projects in MENA or Central Asia.Prior experience in supporting distributed regional teams or indirect customer engagement models is an advantage.SkillsStrong understanding of BESS system architecture, PV integration, and EMS/SCADA control design.Excellent coordination, communication, and mentoring skills for supporting distributed teams.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and energy modeling tools (e.g., PVsyst, HOMER, or equivalent).Fluent in English; Arabic preferred; Russian or Turkish advantageous.#J-18808-Ljbffr
