Job Description

Batterjee Medical College (BMC), one of the leading private medical colleges in the Kingdom, is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented Business Development Officer to support the expansion of its academic, vocational, and commercial initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting projects that strengthen BMC's local and international footprint. This role requires a professional communicator with strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills, capable of driving initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and initiate strategic partnership opportunities aligned with BMC's vision and growth strategy. Support the CBDO and Director of Business Development in preparing business proposals, strategic plans, presentations, MOUs, and official correspondence. Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and benchmarking to support new academic and vocational programs. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (academic departments, training units, and corporate functions) to ensure smooth execution of development projects. Assist in managing relationships with government bodies, healthcare institutions, education providers, NGOs, and private sector partners. Track and analyze market trends, policy changes, and competitor activities within healthcare education and training sectors. Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and KPI updates for ongoing initiatives. Represent BMC in external meetings, events, sponsorship activities, and conferences, ensuring a professional and polished image. Manage assigned projects using recognized project management practices, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and outcomes are met. Identify, propose, and support sponsorship and revenue-generation opportunities. Provide administrative, documentation, and coordination support to ensure smooth departmental operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles-preferably within higher education, healthcare, or training sectors. Demonstrated understanding of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and stakeholder engagement. Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is strongly preferred. Excellent command of spoken and written English (mandatory). Strong professional presence and interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional organization, multitasking, and time-management skills. Proactive mindset, strong ownership, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
