Job Description
The BDM WENA serves as the regional business development leader for West, Central, North, and East Africa. This is a green-field development role requiring strong entrepreneurial capabilities and regional expertise. The BDM leads a team of four PLSMs across distinct territories (NWA, WA, NEA, EA) and is responsible for market analysis, partner identification, go-to-market strategy, team development, and sales execution. Based in Dubai with extensive regional travel.Responsibilities:Size markets and assess opportunities by countryBuild go‑to‑market strategies for each territoryDefine pricing, positioning, and channel strategy (wholesale, retail, e‑commerce, direct)Track competitors and market trendsIdentify and evaluate distribution and retail partnersDevelop partner value propositions and business casesNegotiate and finalize agreementsOnboard, support, and manage partner operationsMonitor partner performance and drive retention and growthTrain and onboard PLSM team membersSet performance expectations and KPIsProvide coaching, support, and performance managementDevelop team capabilities for future growthBuild sales forecasting methodologyLead monthly reporting and forecast reviewsMonitor revenue, margin, and growth targetsAnalyze performance and implement corrective actionsUnderstand import/export requirements by countryCoordinate logistics, shipments, and fulfillmentManage inventory and ensure regulatory complianceOptimize supply chain efficiency and resolve operational issuesRequirements:10+ years in international business development or regional management5+ years in African markets or emerging market environments (highly valued)Proven experience launching new products or entering new marketsTrack record of building and scaling sales teamsExperience with diverse distribution channels and market entry strategiesNon-Food FMCG ExperienceAbility to develop market strategies from market researchStrong analytical skills and ability to conduct market researchCapability to establish scalable processes and systemsFrench language is considered an advantage (for WECA coverage)Arabic proficiency (preferred for North Africa)Based or willing to relocate to DubaiQ1: Conduct market analysis; identify partners; develop go-to-market strategy; develop PLSM recruitment planQ3: Scale partner operations; acquire new customers; optimize pricing; build market presenceQ4: Consolidate gains; achieve targets; plan for expansion; prepare for FY2027 growthWe offer:Opportunity to work for a financially strong, fast-growing multinational company.Constant interaction with global teams of professionals International career opportunities
