DescriptionBusiness Development Manager Pressure and TemperatureJob SummaryThe primary purpose of the job is to develop and grow the Pressure & Temperature product lines businesses within Portfolio of Measurement Solutions (MSOL) of Emerson. This position is intended to drive Project Business in the Middle East and Africa by taking ownership of the product group.ResponsibilitiesBusiness DevelopmentLead business development sales support and project pursuit initiatives for MEA to meet or exceed the Pressure & Temperature products (P&T) sales targetsDrive product and factory approval processes keep up with AVL for Key Accounts Support buyout vendor development and Price BenchmarkingOwn and support quality Lead creation processes provide leadership in Sales Campaigns.Support the regions in liaising with customers Emerson teams and LBPs to prioritize efforts capture competitive intelligence and improve customer service consistent with P&T sales strategies and Key Account Plans.Develop and complete plans for markets outside of O&G such as Power & Water pharma and chemicalsProduct ManagementDevelop own and implement the relevant P&T Strategic Plan Key Initiatives.Lead Product Launch and Product Awareness activities for the Sales Organization Business Partners and Customer Support teams in MEAImprove MSOL and P&T customer satisfaction by understanding communicating and performing solutions to their needsKeep up to date with developments and trends in products industries and market conditions develop and maintain sales tools within the scope of work develop own and implement P&T-related marketing activitiesPrepare and present marketing forecasts pricing surveys competitor intelligence and country marketing plans collaborating with regional salesImprove the product application and industry knowledge of the sales and support organizations (customer-facing back office service and execution teams) for P&T products and services.SalesProvide forecasts (orders and units) and own financial commitment.Support Regional Sales Digital Sales Individuals Proposal Sales Engineers and Partners across MEATake ownership of key pursuits and key initiatives from awareness and demand creation till transaction closureSupport proposal generation processes to ensure quote quality service levels and hit rates are meeting expectationsParticipate in developing and completing sales strategies for projects. Maintain an accurate project pursuit list and provide monthly reports and forecasts to management and finance processesCoach customer-facing salespersons on product features industry and application knowledge as well as customer/industry situational fluencyProvide technical support in pre-sales processes clarifications and re-engineering as needed to align with client/project requirementsDevelop / Improve processes for effective utilization of Sales Intelligence and forecasting tools like CRM Power BI etcEnsure adherence to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practicesFulfil any other reasonable duties as requiredWho You AreTrack record of business growth across MEA is an advantageTrack record of efficient collaboration with internal and external customersRole requires regional travel and adaptability to demanding project environmentsAbility to remain calm under pressure acknowledge mistakes and possess emotional intelligence/diplomacyYou are highly motivated to drive business growthFor This Role You Will NeedHave a Bachelors degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.Have 10 years of experience in the process automation industry with relevant expertise in Pressure and Temperature Products interactive relationship with end users influencers OEMs System integrators and EPCsOur Culture & Commitment to You!At Emerson we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued respected and empowered to grow.
