BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL | Full timeWe are seeking a dynamic and results-drivenBusiness Development Directorto lead strategic growth initiatives across thedefense and security sectors. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry expertise, exceptional market insight, and a strong network within theMENA region.This role will drive business expansion by identifying strategic partnerships, suppliers, and investment opportunities that align withQatar’s defense and security objectives , ensuring sustainable growth and competitive positioning in the global defense market.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Market Development:Direct all business development activities, continuously monitoring defense market requirements and identifying optimal solutions through global suppliers and investment partners. Focus on the MENA market, with the ability to expand and strengthen the company’s presence regionally and internationally. Translate Qatar’s strategic defense priorities into actionable business and partnership opportunities.Communication & Relationship Building:Establish and oversee the execution of a strategic communication plan that effectively promotes the company’s value proposition to customers, government agencies, and international defense entities. Cultivate and maintain long‑term relationships with global defense contractors, security institutions, and industry leaders to drive business growth and strategic collaboration. Continuously assess current and emerging requirements of government, defense and state security clients to ensure best‑fit solutions. Source innovative offerings either from within the company’s existing investment portfolio or through new partnerships across the global defense sector. Maintain an in‑depth understanding of global defense trends, key players, market drivers, and technological advancements to anticipate opportunities and challenges.RequirementsQualifications & Experience:Background:Business Development in Defense IndustryYears of Experience:10 – 15 years in the same or related fieldProven success in developing and executingbusiness strategies within the defense and security domains , preferably within the MENA region.Strong track record ofpartnering with government agencies, defense manufacturers, and technology firms.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Bachelor’s degree inBusiness Administration, Defense Studies, or related field ; a Master’s degree is an advantage.Multilingual proficiency, particularly English and Turkish or Arabic, is preferred.Personal Attributes:Strategic, analytical, and commercially astute.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across cultures and sectors.Entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to advancing national defense capabilities through innovation and partnership.
