DAR Engineering, a leading design & engineering consulting organization in Saudi Arabia engaged in Power Generation, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, Health Care & High Rise BuildingsJob PurposeDAR Engineering is looking for a highly skilled Biomedical Site Engineer to join a major Healthcare Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) in Riyadh.This role is both site-focused and governance-driven, responsible for establishing, standardizing, and implementing biomedical installation and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) processes across healthcare projects throughout Saudi Arabia.The position will play a critical role in strengthening national healthcare project delivery by formalizing biomedical integration frameworks and ensuring safe, compliant, and operationally ready hospital facilities.Develop and standardize installation procedures, checklists, and inspection protocols for medical equipment across hospital projects.Establish biomedical coordination workflows between contractors, vendors, and engineering disciplines.Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory and technical standards, including the Saudi Building Code (SBC), Ministry of Health regulations, manufacturer specifications, and relevant international healthcare standards (such as HTM and NFPA, where applicable).Support the Testing & Commissioning Department in creating:Biomedical pre-commissioning proceduresFunctional performance testing protocolsIntegrated systems testing frameworksSite acceptance testing (SAT) standardsDevelop structured documentation templates for T&C reporting.Standardize handover and operational readiness procedures for medical equipment systems.Monitor on-site installation of medical equipment to ensure:Proper utility coordination (power, gases, data, HVAC).Compliance with design intent and approved shop drawings.Integration with BMS, ICT, and other hospital systems.Conduct inspections and witness testing activities.Identify and mitigate risks related to biomedical system implementation.Participate in high-level coordination meetings within the EPMO.Ensure biomedical alignment with cost, schedule, and quality baselines.Conduct periodic audits of biomedical installation and T&C practices across active projects.Lead technical workshops to ensure consistent interpretation of standards.Support continuous improvement initiatives in biomedical delivery frameworks.Ensure proper documentation for regulatory inspections and final authority approvals.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field from a recognized university13+ years of professional experience in healthcare projects.Proven exposure to large hospital developments or medical cities.Experience in GCC healthcare infrastructure projects preferred.Extensive experience in hospital and healthcare facility design (acute care, tertiary hospitals, specialty clinics, medical cities).Strong expertise in:Medical equipment installation and commissioningHospital utility coordination (medical gases, UPS, IPS, nurse call, etc.)Operating theatres & ICU equipment integrationDiagnostic and imaging equipment readinessSound knowledge of hospital operational workflows.Familiarity with BIM-based coordination environments.Understanding of risk-based commissioning in healthcare facilities.What We Offer:A chance to work on landmark projects in Saudi Arabia.Collaborative and supportive work environment.Competitive salary and benefits package.An engaged and supportive team that are passionate about encouraging each other to succeed.Work for a company who values their employees and recognizes their contribution.To Apply:If you believe you have the skills, knowledge, and experience to fulfil this role, please submit your application online by clicking ‘Apply’.Riyadh-based candidates preferred, but relocation support is available for the right talent.DAR Engineering is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
