<p>The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the service and repair operations, ensuring efficient workflow, excellent customer service, and maintaining high-quality standards. They manage a team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of vehicle repairs and services.</p><p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p>1. Team Management:</p><p>· Supervise, mentor, and motivate technicians, mechanics, and support staff.</p><p>· Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and ensure a balanced workload among the team members.</p><p>· Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for continuous improvement.</p><p>2. Workflow Management:</p><p>· Coordinate and oversee the workflow in the workshop, ensuring timely and efficient completion of repairs and services.</p><p>· Prioritize repair jobs based on urgency, customer needs, and available resources.</p><p>· Monitor and optimize productivity, ensuring the team meets or exceeds performance targets.</p><p>3. Quality Control:</p><p>· Implement and maintain high-quality standards for vehicle repairs and services.</p><p>· Conduct regular inspections of completed repairs to ensure they meet dealership and manufacturer standards.</p><p>· Address and rectify any substandard work, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.</p><p>4. Customer Service:</p><p>· Interact with customers to understand their vehicle issues and provide accurate repair estimates.</p><p>· Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.</p><p>· Maintain open communication with customers, keeping them informed about the status of their vehicles and any additional repairs needed.</p><p>5. Documentation and Record Keeping:</p><p>· Maintain detailed records of repairs, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.</p><p>· Complete repair orders and document all work performed accurately and comprehensively.</p><p>· Collaborate with the service advisor and parts department to ensure accurate billing and parts ordering.</p><p>6. Parts and Inventory Management:</p><p>· Manage workshop inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary parts and supplies for repairs.</p><p>· Coordinate with the parts department to order and restock parts in a timely manner.</p><p>· Coordinate with the warranty department to claim and approve repairs.</p><p>· Verify received parts for accuracy and quality, and distribute them to technicians as needed.</p><p>· Monitor parts usage, track inventory turnover rates, and identify slow-moving or obsolete parts.</p><p>7. Health and Safety:</p><p>· Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.</p><p>· Conduct regular safety training sessions for workshop employees.</p><p>· Maintain a clean and safe working environment, addressing any hazards or potential risks promptly.</p><p>8. Vendor and Supplier Management:</p><p>· Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, product availability, and pricing.</p><p>· Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms, discounts, and promotions.</p><p>· Foster positive relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and resolve issues effectively.</p><p>· Develop and manage budgets for the workshop, ensuring cost control and profitability.</p><p>· Monitor expenses, control costs, and maximize revenue through efficient operations.</p><p>· Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.</p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
