Job Description As an Associate Finance Analyst at A.P. Moller - Maersk, your role will involve providing dedicated financial support and advisory to specific business units to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with business leaders, offering insights and support to aid in business decision-making and performance. Your responsibilities will include: - Financial Support & Advisory: Providing dedicated financial support and advisory to assigned business units, contributing to their growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. - Business Insights: Working closely with business leaders to provide relevant financial insights, helping them to drive informed business decisions and improve performance. - Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyzing internal financial information such as profit/loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc. - Process Adherence: Applying practical financial methods, techniques, work procedures, and processes in your daily responsibilities. - Independent Contribution: Working independently within defined boundaries and guidelines in your specific area of finance, delivering on your own work responsibilities. - Problem-Solving: Solving common business issues by choosing between known alternatives within your area of expertise. - Collaboration & Learning: Collaborating with colleagues and seeking supervision and support on more complex or non-routine tasks, demonstrating a proactive learning attitude. - Support & Mentorship: Potentially coaching or mentoring less experienced staff, informally supervising, overseeing the work of other lower-level professionals, or managing specific processes and programs. To excel in this role, you should have: - Experience: Previous work experience in a related finance area or practical knowledge obtained via advanced education. - Financial Knowledge: Strong knowledge required for the application of practical financial methods, techniques, work procedures, and processes. - Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial information and contribute to insights. - Problem-Solving: Capable of making choices between known alternatives to solve issues within your area of expertise. - Autonomy: Ability to work independently within defined boundaries and guidelines. - Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with business leaders and colleagues. - Prioritization: Ability to manage day-to-day tasks and contribute to setting priorities for task completion.
