They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team and will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Electrical and Engineering.ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and ResponsibilitiesBe familiar with the Company procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and standards for work to be performed and asked guidance where requiredPerform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasksApply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under the close supervision and mentoring of an experienced engineerPrepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and proceduresOrganize own work to meet deadlines set by othersCommunicate information, asking questions, and checking for understandingGain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirementsPerform calculations for the power distribution systemProduce consumer lists from available equipment dataMake sizing calculations of electrical equipment and componentsMake electrical one-line diagramsPrepare sketches of detailed design to guide DesignersRequisition and specify simple bulk materials, including TBE and SDRCheck drawingsKeep the Lead Engineer apprised of all activities, progress, and concernsDevelop an awareness of costs related to own workDevelop a basic understanding of MDR's business and the customers it servesDevelop basic knowledge of MDR's business units and interactions, including engineering and fabricationDevelop advanced skills in the use of standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointReports to:Project: Lead EngineerFunctional: Supervising Department ManagerLiaise With: Engineers, Design Supervisors and Designers of their own disciplineQualificationsEssential Qualifications and EducationBachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering0-3 years experience in oil and gasLearning the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicableLearning design techniques and analysis methodsPreferably a Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or a member of a professional engineering society#J-18808-Ljbffr
