Associate Director- Debt Capital Markets (Emiratised Role)

JOB PURPOSEAssisting and supporting the DCM team in the marketing and execution of sole‑lending club and syndicated loan transactionsOngoing preparation and update of marketing material transactions documentation Loan Origination related strategies and MIS reporting as and when requiredCoordinate with the Loan Origination team in producing term‑sheets pitch‑books documentation post closing with external counsel internal finance CAD legal and loan agencyCredit evaluation and financial analysis of corporate and financial institution clientsMeet annual targets as provided by the Head of DCM Bond Syndicate KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESGeneric AccountabilityIn coordination with the Head of MEA LCM follow and understand the competitive regulatory and environmental factors impacting the industry and our clientsSupport the team strategy for growth and sustainability of revenues returns and market shareSupport the team in wining mandates and deal execution within stipulated deadlinesPerform global credit markets research on daily/weekly basis and preparing pitch‑booksHandle Loan Origination related documentation (Islamic and Conventional) and support in deal execution.Ensure appropriate internal and external documentation and approvals are secured and proper filing system is set up for each competed transaction to comply with FAB internal and external audit and compliance requirementsMaintain good relationships with Senior Executives Operations and other team membersSpecific AccountabilitySupport the team on the origination structuring and execution of syndicated / club loans and bilateral loan facilities both conventional and IslamicPerform the initial due diligence and credit evaluation on borrowers and provide enquiries from a product perspectiveDevelop self awareness on the credit standing of the entites; understanding industry behavious and sector trendsUpdating MIS reportings league table completion; internal fee booking; cost recovery and coordination of clearing these with the relevant internal parties and external cousnels / third party advisorsMaintain and coordinate the documentation process for deal closureQualificationsBachelors degree in finance / business or related discipline. MBA and/or professional qualificationsMinimum Experience5 years relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 3 years in loan capital markets or syndicationsIndustrial sector expertise is essentialSound knowledge of investment appraisals financial modelling (valuations) and legal/regulatory environmentsThe ability to research analyse and provide independent opinions on lending opportunities and the ability to execute loan transactionsFluent in English.
