Assistant Resident Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will work alongside the Resident Engineer to oversee construction activities, ensure compliance with project specifications, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety on site. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop technical expertise while contributing to significant infrastructure projects in a dynamic construction environment.ResponsibilitiesDaily site supervision and monitoring of construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans and specificationsConduct regular site inspections and document findings, including quality checks and compliance verificationPrepare and maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, and photographic recordsCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve site-related issuesAnalyze technical drawings, specifications, and construction methodologiesMonitor and enforce site safety protocols and ensure all personnel comply with health and safety regulationsAssist in project scheduling, progress tracking, and identification of potential delays or risksMaintain organized records of site activities, material deliveries, and equipment usageCommunicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding site progress and any emerging concernsSupport quality assurance processes and assist in resolving construction defects or non-conformancesQualificationsRequired Skills:Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation and analysisStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency in AutoCAD or similar design softwareCompetency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesTime management and organizational skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in documentationAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentRequired Experience:Minimum 12 years experienceDemonstrated experience working on construction sites or project sites as ARE or REFamiliarity with construction methodologies and standard practicesExperience with site documentation and reportingRequired Education:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering disciplinePreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related softwareFamiliarity with UAE construction regulations, codes, and standardsExperience with construction management software or project management toolsProfessional certification or membership in relevant engineering bodiesExperience in infrastructure or commercial construction projectsAdditional InformationThe role is site based.#J-18808-Ljbffr
