Assistant Resident Engineer (Sewerage Rehabilitation) - AlainThe role involves working on projects associated with Sewerage and Stormwater, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant and rehabilitation works. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.Key accountabilitiesTechnical DeliveryInteracting with clients and contractor staff to determine and verify project requirements.Interacting with contractor, sub-contractor, and laboratory & monitoring construction work on a daily basis.Control the site inspection and testing and maintain inspection reports and site test records.Prepare instructions, specifications, reports and cost estimates.Review and approve design documents, construction plans and procedures.Perform civil and structural tests.Provide general inspection on all construction labour and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.Identify non‑conforming works, generate reports and corrective actions, and coordinate responses.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Collaboration and working as part of a teamWork in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.Liaise with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate the completion of tasks and projects.Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer.Client Service ManagementInternal and external client infrastructure liaison.Build and maintain lasting and positive relationships.Experience in utility diversions and management.Proficient in software such as Excel and MS Word.Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures. Design for safety, i.e., Construction Design Management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering.Eight (8) years of experience in miscellaneous drainage work projects.Experience in SWS water infrastructure projects is an advantage.Good communicator.Experience in utility diversions and management.Proficient in software such as Excel and MS Word.#J-18808-Ljbffr
