Job Description - Assistant Reservations Manager - Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail (HOT0CCFZ)Assistant Reservations Manager - Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail (HOT0CCFZ)Work LocationsWaldorf Astoria Doha Lusail, Qatar Entertainment City Doha, Plot No. LED-ENT/01An Assistant Reservations Manager supports the Reservations team in achieving occupancy targets as identified in the annual budget and marketing plan for Reservations.What will I be doing?Maximise occupancy levels by reviewing and revising revenue strategies together with the Reservations ManagerWork with the Sales and Events Teams to maximise corporate and group ratesManage third party sites and agents to establish rates, negotiate prices, ensure proper implementation of reservations procedures, and maximise conversion ratios in order to achieve targets for the departmentContribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the department's adherence to achieving that strategyUnderstand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local marketEnsure Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contractsBuild strong relationships with customers, guests and Team Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectivelyAssist in the recruiting, managing, training and developing of the TeamWhat are we looking for?Previous experience with reservations in the hotel/leisure sectorStrong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a high‑performing team positioned to exceed targetsStrong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challengesExcellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to Team MembersExcellent organisation and planning skillsAccountable and resilientFlexibility to respond to a range of different work situationsIt would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:Knowledge of the hotel property management systemsPrevious experience in the same or similar roleRelevant degree, in a business discipline, from an academic institutionWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?The future of hospitality is bright at Hilton: a leading global hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of world‑class brands.
