Job Description

Job PurposeAssist in preparation, collection and consolidation of data for all Mashreq Bank entities to produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, half‑yearly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.Key Result AreasPrepare monthly consolidated group financial statements (quarterly and annual) in compliance with IFRS.Liaise with external auditors for quarterly and annual financials, representation letters, publication and printing of the Group Annual Report.Arrange and set up new GL accounts in Flexcube, Oracle, and other relevant systems across UAE and overseas branches.Manage receipt and analysis of monthly downloads from Flexcube and Oracle, and validate data for group consolidation via OFSA/HFM.Act as the central point for preparation, validation, upload and reconciliation of all financial adjustments across legal entities to finalize consolidated group financials.Maintain and update all required maintenance tables (GL mapping, branch codes, business groups, cost centres, etc.) in OFSA/HFM.Prepare information on MashreqBank shares trading activities in the Dubai Financial Market for management and facilitate payment of DFM invoices.Safeguard property documents, share certificates, gold coins and corporate charters of subsidiaries and coordinate their annual audit.Support PMAD with financial and management reporting reconciliations.Review audit engagement letters and invoices for accuracy, arrange signing and approvals, and manage overseas consultancy audit activities.Prepare information for foreign investment surveys and economic surveys from various Emirate statistical centres.Assist in voucher posting, drafting auditor letters to management, and updating SOPs/flow charts for existing and new functions.Participate in testing and implementation of IFRS reports for consolidation to meet disclosure requirements.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceQualified accountant with 2–4 years of experience in accounting and management reporting within a computerized environment.Strong interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills; familiarity with UAE Central Bank guidelines and IFRS.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (look‑ups, pivot tables, etc.) and Word.Experience with core banking systems such as Flexcube and Oracle (or equivalent ERP).Ability to maintain general ledger systems, set up new GL accounts, and manage account changes.Understanding of financial statement preparation, consolidation, and audit processes.Knowledge of SOX or related internal control frameworks is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
