Our Housekeeping team plays a vital role in upholding the hotel’s brand promise, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support daily operations and lead our team to excellence.Assistant Housekeeping ManagerSupports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house areas consistently meet InterContinental brand standards. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a hands‑on approach to team management and quality control.Day‑to‑day responsibilitiesAssist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back‑of‑house areasSupervise, train, and motivate housekeeping colleagues to ensure high performance and engagementConduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and brand standards are metHandle guest requests and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfactionSupport manpower planning, duty rosters, attendance, and leave managementEnsure proper usage, control, and inventory of housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipmentCoordinate with Engineering, Front Office, and other departments to ensure smooth operationsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all timesAssist with onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of team membersSupport special projects, deep‑cleaning schedules, and departmental initiativesWhat we need from youMinimum 2–4 years of experience in housekeeping operations within a luxury hotel or resortPrevious supervisory or assistant managerial experience is preferredStrong knowledge of housekeeping standards, procedures, and cleaning chemicalsGood leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environmentFlexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidaysProficient in basic computer applications (Opera/housekeeping systems preferred)Attention to detail with a strong commitment to service excellenceWhat you can expect from usWe give our people everything they need to succeed.
