Assistant Buyer – Decor

ResponsibilitiesTrend Research & Product Development: Continuously research market trends, seasonal decor themes, and customer preferences to expand and refine the decor product range. Work closely with designers to develop and refine products.Vendor Identification & Sourcing: Identify potential vendors and suppliers that offer unique and high-quality decor items. Build and maintain relationships with global and local vendors to ensure a competitive edge.Pricing & Margin Control: Manage product pricing to maximize profit margins while maintaining competitive pricing. Ensure all pricing strategies align with company objectives and market positioning.Order Management: Assist in order placement, ensure proper documentation, track shipments, and confirm products meet the quality standards. Follow up on any delays or production issues.Market Intelligence: Monitor competitors and market trends in the home decor sector. Make recommendations based on competitor analysis and emerging market demands.Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure decor products are presented in an appealing manner in stores or online platforms.Customer Insights: Gather customer feedback to understand product preferences and adjust the range accordingly.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.Experience: 4-6 years of experience in category management, purchasing, or buying within the home decor or furniture industry.Strong knowledge of the home decor industry, including trends, materials, and suppliers.Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and other relevant tools.Strong project management abilities.Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
