Job Description As an Associate in the Data team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), your role will involve working closely with trading desks, valuation oversight groups, and technology to gain a solid understanding of all the financial products traded, with a focus on fixed income and equity products. You will be responsible for communicating with various internal teams regarding data and pricing exceptions, requiring effective multitasking and priority management skills. At GSAM, part of the global investment management arm of Goldman Sachs, you will have the opportunity to contribute to important investing decisions by closely monitoring and validating key data attributes. Your responsibilities will include verifying prices on securities held in GSAM portfolios daily, controlling risks associated with abnormal prices, investigating and resolving product reference data issues, and liaising with internal counterparties such as traders, portfolio teams, and controllers. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and validate key data attributes for GSAM investing decisions - Verify prices on securities held in GSAM portfolios daily to ensure accuracy - Control risks associated with abnormal prices and escalate for resolution - Investigate and resolve standard product reference data issues - Liaise with internal counterparties - Act as a central point of contact for inquiries from GSAM business - Manage daily responsibilities, inquiries, and work on project management - Develop a deep understanding of products and complex transactions Qualifications Required: - Knowledge and experience in financial services - Proven track record of contributing in a dynamic team environment - Sound time management skills for effective prioritization and multitasking - Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel - Data and Pricing knowledge preferred but not mandatory - Excellent communication skills for articulating issues and ideas with stakeholders - Knowledge of product data, reconciliation, trade management, and accounting functions preferred but not mandatory - Knowledge of Alteryx preferred but not mandatory Please note that this position is within a professional office environment, and there are no specific health risks associated with the role.
