Job Description

Job Description Role Overview: You will be responsible for ensuring smooth and error-free operations in legal matters for the designated area. Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert advice and opinions in legal matters, offering guidance on speedy legal remedies available across locations. - Send notices/replies in assigned cases and file complaints/replies in the designated courts. - Ensure fast proceeding of arbitration and obtain decrees from local courts based on arbitrators' awards. - Ensure amicable resolution against cases filed in police stations, ensuring execution of summons/bailable or non-bailable warrants/awards/orders received from the courts with police help. - Manage recovery litigation under arbitration and SARFAESI laws, providing proactive legal strategy for all sticky accounts. - Track all legal cases to ensure no slippages, visiting NPA accounts along with the collection team for faster recovery. - Initiate appropriate legal actions in delinquent accounts against borrowers under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 for recovery of dues, including filing criminal complaints in qualified cases and taking them to a logical conclusion. - Co-coordinate with and procure data from the collections function for legal action as per the remedial process (for/against). - If required, be the complainant in filing complaints/replies in the designated courts. - Attend courts on the assigned dates and empanel lawyers across locations as per requirement. - Lead and supervise the legal collections team for the implementation of a recovery agenda through appropriate training, motivation, and deployment strategies. - Keep abreast of all the latest developments/trends in local law/best practices regarding collections, security creation, and loan documentation. - Ensure compliance with all Audit/NHB/IRB regulations as well as the policies and procedures of the company.
