The hospital is dedicated to improving health outcomes, facilitating access to quality care and addressing the unique needs of military personnel, their families, and the broader community in the Northern Emirates.This role is responsible for assisting anesthesiologists in providing care to patients preparing for and receiving anesthesia including but not limited to patients assessment, administration of procedural sedation, patient monitoring and recovery of patients who have received sedation/anesthesia in adherence with Department of Health / Dubai Health Authority and M42 policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for assisting with the preparation of anesthesia procedures both preoperatively and postoperatively by maintaining anesthesia equipment, cleaning, packaging, ordering, and inventorying of anesthesia supplies.ResponsibilitiesAssists anesthesiologists during assessment of patients, administration of procedural sedation, induction of anesthesia, patient monitoring during sedation/anesthesia, recovery of patients who have received sedation/anesthesia and during all routine and emergency situations requiring anesthesiology interventions.Provides support for routine surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems prior, during and post anesthesia procedures.Prepares anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and postoperatively by sterilizing, disinfecting, packaging, ordering and inventorying of anesthesia supplies.Performs first level maintenance and troubleshooting on anesthesia equipment.Maintains an inventory of equipment used by anesthesia to track repairs, loaners and demos, as well as conducts any quality controls required to return such items after repair to service.Ensures that pharmacy drugs are within their expiration date and properly dispose of used drugs.Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on hazardous materials and latex allergy items for all supplies within the anesthesia function.QualificationsAnesthesia technician program from nationally recognized institution/college (minimum 2 years course duration)Minimum of 2 years’ experience post qualification in related fieldValid license to practice in the UAE (DOH/DHA/MOH)Must have valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate#J-18808-Ljbffr
