Analyst - Virtual Assets Intelligence

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) is the supervisory and regulatory authority of the banking and insurance sector in the United Arab Emirates. CBUAE is responsible for enhancing monetary management, financial stability and protecting consumers through effective supervision of licensed financial institutions, prudent management of reserves, robust financial infrastructure and the adoption of digital technologies.CBUAE is currently looking to hire a seasoned and highly motivated professional in Financial Intelligence Unit, who would be responsible to:Support the Virtual Assets Intelligence section by conducting initial analysis of virtual asset transactions, preparing draft case reports, and maintaining databasesServe as the foundation of the team’s investigation capacity and participate in ongoing training to develop technical and regulatory expertise.Core ResponsibilitiesPreliminary AnalysisGather and collate virtual asset transaction data; perform initial synthesis to identify red flags and suspicious patterns.Analyze STR/SAR related to virtual asset investigations using blockchain tracing tool, open-source intelligence gathering, and basic blockchain investigations.Casework & Operational SupportSupport Senior Specialists/Managers in case investigations by preparing data visualizations, summaries, and evidence packages.Draft routine intelligence reports and maintain case records under supervision.Database & Knowledge ManagementUpdate team records, case management systems, and knowledge bases to ensure accurate, auditable data flow.Perform any other duties outside the scope as and when required.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field. Technical certifications (CAMS, blockchain analysis/cybersecurity) are preferred.Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in compliance and virtual asset investigations.The CBUAE offers you the opportunity to join an interdisciplinary and multinational team that spans diverse backgrounds and experiences.
