Job Description As a Portfolio Compliance Analyst at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group in Gurugram, India, you will play a crucial role in the investment process by working closely with institutional portfolio managers and affiliate compliance officers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Using Charles River to create and monitor pre-trade and post-trade compliance rules for all asset classes and security types based on client mandates, global regulations, industry best practices, and firm-wide guidelines.
- Utilizing FundApps for monitoring and reporting beneficial ownership, short selling, and takeover panel disclosures.
- Preparing compliance certificates and reports for internal managers and external clients and regulators.
- Collaborating with various business groups within the company such as portfolio management, operations, and legal to address compliance-related inquiries and resolve issues.
- Enhancing portfolio compliance procedures and controls continuously.
- Leading projects of varying scope and size while providing guidance to compliance analysts.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
- A strong passion for compliance with at least five years of experience in Asset Management focusing on compliance.
- A risk-intelligent mindset and a solid understanding of portfolio compliance within a broader risk management framework.
- A commitment to operational excellence with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Curiosity and a willingness to ask questions.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit for seamless teamwork.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and tools with advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel. Experience with Charles River is advantageous.
