Job Description

Job Description As a Market Data Associate at MUFG Global Service Private Limited, you will be a crucial part of the Information and Data Management (IDM) department responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of market data across all asset classes. Your role will involve working closely with Front Office, P&L, Operations, and Risk management functions to drive improvements and facilitate change within the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Act as a key team member in the Reference Data function within the Information Data Management department - Ensure accurate and timely capture and setup of instrument and other reference data from both internal and external sources before distribution to various business areas, functions, and systems - Uphold data-production processes that adhere to defined standards and quality rules agreed with stakeholders - Take ownership of assigned data issues, prioritize, track, and resolve them while liaising with stakeholders - Deliver timely and relevant instrument and other reference data metrics to track performance against key SLAs and KPIs - Enhance instrument and other reference data production processes by collaborating with stakeholders to improve data validation, efficiency, and reduce operational risk - Contribute to business analysis for strategic system implementations and firm-wide projects related to instrument and other reference data processes - Maintain up-to-date desk procedures to enhance team coverage and efficiency - Build positive working relationships with key stakeholders across the business **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent) - Strong Microsoft Office skills, with Excel proficiency and VBA knowledge being beneficial - Practical knowledge of instrument setup across asset classes, particularly fixed income and derivatives - Desirable system experience with Murex, Markit EDM, Bloomberg, and Gloss - Experience working with stakeholders at various levels In this role, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a results-driven mindset are essential. You should possess a proactive and motivated approach, operate with urgency, and prioritize work effectively.
