Job Description

The AMOS Competency Center Manager is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously developing the airline’s AMOS Competency Center to ensure the AMOS platform operates as a strategic enabler across Engineering & Maintenance, CAMO, Technical Records, Planning, and Finance.The role ensures system governance, data integrity, process standardization, user competency, and continuous improvement across all AMOS modules. Acting as the single point of accountability between Engineering, IT, and external system providers, the position plays a critical role in supporting operational reliability, regulatory compliance, cost control, and digital transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the functional owner of the AMOS system across all Engineering & Maintenance domains.Ensure alignment between AMOS configuration and approved Maintenance Programs, CAMO procedures, and regulatory requirements.Define governance frameworks, roles, responsibilities, and RACI models for AMOS-related activities.Establish structured system controls supporting audit and compliance readiness.Build and lead the AMOS Competency Center, including system specialists, data analysts, and super-users.Develop internal AMOS expertise to reduce reliance on external consultants.Define training strategies, user competency levels, and certification paths.Oversee onboarding and continuous development of Engineering & Maintenance users.Lead AMOS change management including UAT planning, release notes, stakeholder communication, and approval governance.Oversee configuration, enhancements, and module optimization (Planning, Work Orders, Materials, Technical Records, Reliability, Contracts, Finance Interfaces).Lead system upgrades, releases, and regression testing in coordination with IT and vendors.Drive automation, workflow standardization, and best-practice process design.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of engineering and asset data.Oversee data quality metrics, digital documentation compliance, and audit readiness.Support CAMO compliance, regulatory inspections, and external audits through system controls and reporting.Lead integration of AMOS with AIMS, Skywise, MSD, BI tools, OEM portals, eTLB, DRM, and other operational platforms.Own interface governance and ensure seamless, accurate data exchange.Develop KPIs related to system performance, user adoption, data integrity, and process efficiency.Identify opportunities to improve reliability, cost control, and operational efficiency through system optimization.Act as escalation point for complex system issues impacting compliance or operations.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.AMOS formal training and certification.Project Management and/or Digital Transformation certification is an advantage.5–7 years of hands‑on and leadership experience with AMOS in functional ownership, system administration, or competency lead roles.5–7 years of progressive experience within an airline Engineering & Maintenance, CAMO, or MRO environment.Deep understanding of airline maintenance processes and relevant regulatory frameworks.Strong system thinking with ability to translate operational needs into system solutions.Strong stakeholder management across Engineering, IT, Finance, and Operations.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capability.Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Structured, disciplined, governance‑oriented mindset.#J-18808-Ljbffr
