Job Description Role Overview:
As an Analyst, Legal Compliance at Mastercard, you will be a vital part of the MPMS APAC Compliance team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure regulatory excellence for prepaid card programs in the Asia-Pacific region, covering countries like Australia, New Zealand, India, and Japan. Your expertise and operational support will be crucial in upholding Mastercard's reputation and meeting the highest standards in financial services and anti-money laundering regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake key AML/CTF operational activities, such as due diligence on distribution partners, transaction monitoring, investigation, and regulatory and product issuer reporting.
- Provide support for new product initiatives and strategic projects.
- Recommend and implement effective AML/CTF controls to mitigate risks.
- Identify and document non-compliance issues for escalation.
Qualifications Required:
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulatory concepts.
- Previous experience in compliance within the cards or payments industry.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional organizational skills.
- Possess an investigative mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including influencing and negotiation capabilities.
- CAMS certification is highly regarded.
