Job Description

JOB PURPOSELead and deliver environmental assessment and compliance activities related to air quality, noise, and light pollution management for construction and operational projects, including full-time site-based environmental monitoring, compliance oversight, and coordination with project teams and contractors.Drive technical excellence, quality, and continuous improvement within the environmental assessment and compliance team, particularly related to air emissions, environmental noise, and lighting impacts.Assist in business development and work-winning activities within the environmental team.Manage the technical aspects of environmental assessment projects, including coordination of fieldwork, environmental monitoring, modelling, reporting, and regulatory compliance related to air quality, noise, and light pollution.QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE(Required) Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, air quality management, or a related environmental discipline.(Preferred) Master’s degree in environmental science, air quality, environmental engineering, or a related field.Bachelor’s degree: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in environmental science, air quality, or a related field.Master’s degree: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in environmental science, air quality, or a related field.Proven experience in air quality, noise and light pollution assessment and management, preferably within environmental consulting and infrastructure development projects.Demonstrated experience in environmental project management, environmental monitoring programmes, modelling, and technical report preparation.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide full-time on-site environmental oversight related to air emissions, construction noise, and light pollution management to ensure compliance with project environmental requirements and regulatory standards.Independently manage complex environmental projects with multifaceted technical scopes related to air quality, environmental noise, and light pollution, including stakeholder management both internally and externally (internal technical teams, relevant authorities, clients, sub-consultants, etc.).Coordinate and implement environmental monitoring programmes and field surveys related to air quality, noise, and lighting impacts.Analyse environmental monitoring data and modelling outputs to support impact assessments and mitigation strategies.Lead preparation and delivery of high-quality environmental reports including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA/ESIA), Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), environmental monitoring reports, and regulatory submissions.Provide technical input into air dispersion modelling, noise modelling, and lighting impact assessments where required.Ensure environmental compliance with applicable local regulations, international standards, and project-specific environmental requirements.Deliver environmental consultancy projects to high levels of quality within project deadlines.Preparation of proposals and seeking and winning new work with existing clients.Development of strong relationships with existing clients through project delivery.Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide formal mentorship.Client oriented and contributes to commercial success of the division.Generate repeat work opportunities through successful project delivery.GENERAL EXPECTATIONSHigh level of technical expertise with experience in environmental assessment projects.Proven ability to lead diverse project teams, potentially across a range of geographic locations.Contribute to technical leadership and excellence in the Division.Client-centric behaviours and collaboration - strategically evaluate new opportunities to develop client relationships.COMPETENCIESLeadership / management skills: Involves effective delegation, strategic planning, and fostering collaboration across teams.
