Job Description As a Scrum Master at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will play a crucial role in facilitating scrum events such as daily scrum, refinement, planning, review, and retrospective. You will assist teams in overcoming impediments, regardless of where they are positioned within the organization. Building strong relationships within the team and ensuring commitments are honored to foster trust and respect will be a key responsibility. Your role will involve leading and coaching the team on the benefits of working in an agile manner, including practices, events, and techniques. You will work closely with the Product Owner to ensure alignment with the Product vision, Product Backlog, Sprint goals, and other essential information for achieving desired outcomes. Coaching the Product Owner on defining product scope, guiding principles, roadmap, understanding customers, gathering feedback, backlog management, and stakeholder interactions will be part of your responsibilities. Embracing continuous learning and driving the team towards improvement will be integral to your role. You will take ownership and share accountability with the team for delivery and continuous enhancements. Your focus will be on enabling clear communication to help the Development team achieve its goals, fostering a culture of learning from failures, and promoting self-organization skills for effective collaboration, communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Collaborating with other Scrum Masters to enhance the effectiveness of agile practices within the organization will be expected. You should demonstrate the ability to act as an Agility Lead and influence policies for at least one team in a mature environment. Knowledge of Scrum/Agile principles, ability to analyze data, facilitate self-organization, and apply design thinking will be essential skills for this role. Familiarity with various Agile frameworks, collaboration tools, estimation and planning skills, as well as business knowledge including programming practices and development concepts, will be advantageous.
