The role includes registering suppliers, handling sourcing on a global scale, and collaborating with internal teams for order and payment management. The Sourcing Engineer contributes to revenue growth through effective sales process management, customer engagement, and by targeting new business opportunities. Additionally, the role involves managing a team of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient process management while remaining compliant with industry standards and regulations.What You Will DoSourcing ManagementSource various engineering products required for O&G Industries, including pumps, seals, valves, tools, customized items, motors, electrical components, sensors, gas compressors, dryers, and more.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure alignment with Al Futtaim's policies.Register suppliers with Al Futtaim and manage the sourcing requirements globally.Collaborate with the inventory team for order placement and ensure timely payment organization.Sales and Customer EngagementContribute to achieving revenue, parts sales, and customer engagement by managing an effective parts sales process, increasing customer retention, and executing an efficient distribution strategy.Target lost customers and new sales opportunities, and initiate action plans to secure new business for the Division.Manage customer requirements for on‑time delivery considering lead‑times, product specification changes, and customer demand.Team and Process ManagementManage every element of the sales process individually and handle a team of 5 After Sales Engineers & Service Managers.Engage 12 technicians to ensure optimal utilization and outcomes.Provide timely quotations to clients, ensure order delivery, and maintain minimal receivable levels.Market Knowledge and ComplianceRemain updated with the latest regulations, standards, and best practices within the Oil and Gas industry.Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, trends, economic indicators, and competitors.Required Skills To Be SuccessfulStrong knowledge of mechanical equipment and products used in O&G companies.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Proven negotiation and relationship‑building skills.Ability to manage teams effectively and handle techno‑commercial contracts.What Qualifies You For The RoleDegree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in sourcing for Oil & Gas Industries.Proficient in SAP and experienced in handling techno‑commercial contracts and long‑term agreements with O&G customers.Good knowledge of compressed air system equipment, pumps, gas compressors, seals, valves, and sensors used in O&G industries.Experience in the UAE/ME region is an advantage, along with sound business acumen and excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.About Al‑Futtaim AutomotiveA major division of the UAE‑based Al‑Futtaim Group of companies, Al‑Futtaim Automotive is an industry leader with presence in 10 countries across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.Our core business activities at Al‑Futtaim Automotive include distribution, manufacturing, leasing and aftersales, and we are firmly established as the regional representative of some of the world’s most iconic automotive brands: Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Volvo and RAM.We are driven by a customer‑centric approach, constantly pushing the boundaries on innovation, quality standards, and value‑added service across our vast universe of customers - right from motoring enthusiasts to fleet operators to contractors.
