The course examines the complex ethical, legal, and regulatory challenges created by innovation in financial technology, and the need for responsible governance in digital finance.Key Topics May Include:Global and regional regulatory frameworks for FinTech and digital financeEthical principles and governance in financial innovationData privacy, cybersecurity, and digital identity in financeCompliance requirements for blockchain, crypto‑assets, and payment systemsConsumer protection and risk management in digital financeEmerging trends in sustainable and ethical financeKey Responsibilities:Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, tutorials, and workshops.Develop course materials, case studies, and assessments aligned with UOWD’s academic standards.Provide guidance and feedback to students on ethical and regulatory issues in FinTech.Integrate real‑world examples and industry developments into teaching.Contribute to ongoing curriculum enhancement to reflect current global regulatory trends.About YouYou are passionate about the responsible use of technology in finance and bring both academic depth and industry insight to the classroom. You are committed to helping students critically analyse the ethical and compliance challenges shaping the financial technology landscape.Qualifications and Experience:A PhD degree in Finance, Financial Technology, Law, Business Ethics, or a related discipline or a Master’s degree in the discipline with demonstrated and strong industry experience.Demonstrated expertise in financial regulation, compliance, or ethical governance.Prior university teaching experience or professional training delivery in financial regulation, compliance, or FinTech ethics.Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., UAE Central Bank, ADGM, DIFC, or international equivalents).Industry experience in regulatory compliance, fintech governance, or digital financial services is highly desirable.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners.Compensation and BenefitsThe successful candidate will enjoy interaction with a professional dynamic team of highly respected educators from more than 50 different countries and exposure to students from over 100 nationalities.The University offers adjunct lecturers at postgraduate level a compensation of AED 15,000/- per semester.
