Located strategically near the Palm and the Burj Khalifa, the University benefits from the huge investment and innovation opportunities the city is known for globally.*QS World University Rankings 2024**Data from the Graduate Destination Survey 2017 to 2021About the RoleThe University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), one of the UAE’s most prestigious international universities, is seeking a qualified and experienced Adjunct Lecturer to teach the subjects MGNT207 Employment Relations and MGNT918 Managing Employment Relations in Organisations within the School of Business.This role offers an excellent opportunity for an academic or HR industry professional passionate about people management, workplace ethics, and employment law to contribute to the development of future‑ready HR and business graduates.Key Responsibilities:Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, tutorials, and workshops for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.Prepare course materials, case studies, and assessments in line with UOWD’s academic standards.Integrate practical HR and employment law perspectives to enhance student learning.Provide timely academic support and constructive feedback to students.Ensure continuous improvement of course delivery based on feedback and current best practices in HR and employment relations.About YouYou are an experienced HR professional or academic who brings both practical insight and theoretical understanding to the classroom. You value ethical leadership, fair workplace practices, and the ability to translate complex HR issues into meaningful learning experiences.Qualifications and Experience:PhD in Human Resource Management, Employment Law, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline or Master’s degree with demonstrated and strong industry experience in HR, labour relations, or consulting.Demonstrated teaching experience at the tertiary level or equivalent corporate training experience in HR or employment relations.Sound knowledge of employment law, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and workplace ethics.Industry experience in HR, labour relations, or consulting will be highly regarded.Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage a diverse student cohort.Compensation and BenefitsThe successful candidate will enjoy interaction with a professional dynamic team of highly respected educators from more than 50 different countries and exposure to students from over 100 nationalities.The University offers adjunct lecturers at undergraduate level a compensation of AED 9,000 per semester and at postgraduate level AED 15,000 per semester. This covers teaching, grading and providing subject consultation for students.
