Accounts Payable Accountant

Job DescriptionAccounts Payable Accountant will manage vendor invoices, approvals, payments, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and internal controls. This role supports month- and year-end closings, audits, and maintains accurate AP records, coordinating with procurement and receiving teams to streamline the procure-to-pay process.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders and contractsRecord and process invoices in ERP systems, ensuring timely approvals and payment runsReconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate AP recordsManage vendor advances, prepayments, and support month/year-end closings and accrualsEnsure compliance with tax regulations such as VAT and withholding taxCoordinate with procurement and receiving teams for invoice matchingSupport internal and external audits with required documentationIdentify opportunities to automate and improve the procure-to-pay processSkillsStrong accounts payable and procure-to-pay process knowledgeProficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and MS ExcelExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely paymentsKnowledge of internal controls and audit standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3–5 years of experience in accounts payable or procure-to-pay processesFamiliarity with tax regulations related to vendor paymentsThis position is based in the UAEJob ID: 25082507-114VG#J-18808-Ljbffr
