Job DescriptionAn Accounts Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within a company. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the finance and accounts department by assisting with daily accounting activities, managing ledgers, processing invoices, and handling queries from vendors and clients. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, a quick learner, and possesses excellent organizational skills. The position requires strong communication skills, as you will interact with different departments and stakeholders within the organization. Working under the guidance of senior accountants, the Accounts Assistant ensures that financial processes run smoothly and adhere to regulatory compliance and reporting standards.ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and timely.Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies identified.Maintain financial records, including ledgers, for accurate reporting.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial transactions.Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.Assist with audits, liaising with auditors to provide required information.Handle vendor and client queries, maintaining professional communication.Update internal financial databases and spreadsheets as necessary.Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of financial forecasts.Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.Stay updated with financial regulations and ensure compliance in all activities.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Proven experience in an accounting or finance support role beneficial.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software tools.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude and solution-focused approach.Knowledge of current financial regulations and compliance standards necessary.#J-18808-Ljbffr
