We are looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager to fill a newly created position, created to internalize our Accounting function as part of our SAP implementation journey.Job responsibilitiesThis is a newly created, strategic position, established to bring our Accounting function in-house following our SAP implementation. Reporting directly to the Finance & Operations Director, you will lead the Accounting function across 3 brands (TAG Heuer, Zenith, Fred), managing a team of 2 accountants. You will play a pivotal role in the final stages of the SAP go-live, ensuring a seamless transition and embedding best-in-class accounting processes from day one.Your main responsibilities:ACCOUNTING & REPORTINGOversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll activities and bank reconciliations. Supervise transactions, review ledger entries, and ensure all processes align with established accounting standards.Ensure timely bank payments.Ensure timely and accurate month-end financial closings in compliance with accounting standards, managing the full submission in LVMH reporting tool (Syrus)TAX COMPLIANCEEnsure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations. Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) on a timely basisOversee the preparation and filing of UAE Corporate Tax returns, in coordination with tax advisors.Monitor transfer pricing compliance and prepare relevant documentation where applicableAUDIT & FINANCIAL STATEMENTSManage the yearly financial statements and coordinate the relationship with Auditors during their missionsSupport internal and external audit requests and inquiries by coordinating the completion and/or review of assigned audit support and identifying regulatory and operational changes to accounting policies and proceduresINTERNAL CONTROLInternal Control complianceCoordinate and follow up with respective department to ensure Open Purchase Order, Sales Order, Transfer orders are closed on timely basisProfileACA or Chartered Accountant or ACCA in Accounting8+ years’ experience in a similar position within the luxury / retail environmentExpert knowledge of SAP and IFRS is mandatory; prior experience in SAP implementation or go-live projects is a strong assetAdvanced Excel is mandatoryGood understanding of Accounting, Intercompany Reconciliation, Retail Reconciliation, Corporate Tax, VAT and Withholding taxDemonstrate an attitude of professionalism, conscientiousness, reliability and integrityAble to prioritize and plan own workload in accordance with strict deadlinesAbility to work proactively and independently managing multiple priorities.
