OverviewOnly UAE nationals are eligible to apply (JOB LOCATION DUBAI)The position of an accountant will be based in Dubai United Arab Emirates. It shall report directly to the Finance Shared Services Centre Manager. This position shall be primarily responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of the Company.ResponsibilitiesPost purchase invoices, employee expense claims, and liaise with ancillary departments to ensure that relevant approvals are obtained per the workflowUpdate banks and prepare bank reconciliation statementsPost sales invoices and control the settlements with customersVerify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions by ensuring the accounting treatment of an entity’s transactionsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial status as per the business requirementsPrepare periodic reconciliations of intercompany balances and vendor/customer balancesAssist with the closing of the periodic accounts and associated analysis and summary documents; ensure the reliability of monthly accounts in accordance with IFRS and the annual accounts in accordance with local standards and the responsibility for the financial data obtainedEnsure compliance with accounting and financial procedures and internal control rules defined by the GroupLiaise with other transverse financial functionsSupport with the annual audit of the books of accountContribute to the continuous improvement of the performance of accounting and financial processes with regard to the accounting and financial information systems implementedQualificationsBachelors degree in accounting or finance with at least 1 or 2 years of work experience in accounting with thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles2/3 sector experience in construction engineering or global multinational or similar highly preferredProven financial analysis skills with month-end review and analysis of P&L and BSExperience with budgeting and cash forecasts and creating financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processExcellent accounting software and Excel/Google Sheet user and administration skillsAccuracy and attention to detail with high focus on suppliers paymentsGood knowledge and practice of accounting and financial techniques (IFRS standards and local accounting and tax rules)Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes for internal control and procedural efficiencyGood knowledge of accounting and financial information systemsAbility to organize and plan the process of periodic account closing and meet accounting and tax deadlinesAdditional InformationAttention to Detail: Accountants need to be meticulous in their work as they deal with numbers, financial data and complex calculationsAnalytical Skills: They should possess strong analytical abilities to interpret financial information, identify trends and solve problemsIntegrity: Accountants must adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentialityOrganizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesTime Management: Efficient time management to meet deadlinesCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholdersAdaptability: Willingness to learn new skills and softwareProblem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze situations and find solutionsNumerical Aptitude: Strong numerical skills for calculationsTeamwork: Ability to collaborate with colleagues, auditors and other professionalsPlease note that only shortlisted candidates will be contactedRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFulltime#J-18808-Ljbffr
