Once on board we nurture and promote talented individuals, making sure that senior positions are open to all.Discover the RoleIt is an area experiencing significant growth in TMF, thus providing an opportunity for great career development.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategyUnderstand the importance of revenue, productivity, chargeability and the client relationship and effectively apply this understanding to daily tasks.OperationsResponsible for delivering specified deliverables to clients in accordance with deadlinesEnsure appropriate controls, policies and processes are adhered toCreate and maintain relevant recordsAssist with implementing changes to procedures, guidelines, etc.Escalate client/work issues to Supervisor/ManagerAssist other members of the team, giving guidance and mentoring, as requiredCollect appropriate data from clients and input into database as requiredReport to Supervisor/Manager, as requiredAnswer questions in a timely mannerEstablish and maintain a good working relationship with clientsDeal with or act on correspondence from third parties including authorities, lawyers, partners, etc.Support the implementation and updating of systemsVarious other miscellaneous tasks as instructed from time to timeClient serviceSupport clients with service delivery mattersAttend client meetings, as requiredPrepare client work in accordance with proceduresWork with clients to ensure required data is received in good timePrepare and submit approved returns, submissions, accounts, reports et al as applicableFinancial and commercial managementPost time accurately in the internal time management system keeping to relevant submission deadlineIdentify opportunities for additional work with clients, ensuring identification, understanding of requirement, delivery and billing thereofEnsure the correct reporting of time spent for work on portfoliosTechnical ExpertiseLiaise with authorities, lawyers, trustees and TMF offices on technical issuesUse specific software programs and maintain databases as requiredDevelop technical knowledge through reading and attendance at appropriate (internal and external) training courses, seminars, etcTeam-based responsibilitiesInputting information in systemAssist with the review of work across all service lines, including HR and PayrollReview, test and reconcile the work and data received from third partiesSet up and maintain computerized entity financial databasesBanking, cash and cashbook maintenanceDebtor and creditors maintenance and reconciliationsVAT returnsMonthly, quarterly and annual management reportsStatutory reporting, including assisting in preparing AFS and populating withholding tax returnsImplement onboarding of new clientsAssist with the co‑ordination of monthly and annual trackersPerform any other reasonable assignment requested by managementPersonal utilization of 85% – whereby 85% of hours are aligned to client work and service deliveryKey RequirementsKey competenciesBe organized, logical and thorough in the execution of their functionAbility to follow defined processes through basic problem solving.Deadline oriented person with the ability to work under pressure.Ability to prioritize and manage personal workloadExcellent time management and organisational skillsAttention to detail and high level of accuracyStrives to meet service delivery standards.Able to respond to client needs in a timely and professional manner.Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good working relations at all levels, communicate clearly and act with courtesy.Ability to maintain confidentialityIs a team playerBe trustworthy, considerate and live the TMF valuesUnderstands personal development areas and is driven to 'bridge' gapsKey knowledge and experienceQualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, CA) in recognised professional body;At least 4 years relevant experience gained from sizable CPA firm or multinational company; plus tax experience gained in major international professional firms is an advantage;Sound knowledge of international accounting practices (IFRS) and key updates;Self‑motivated, well‑organised and a strong sense of responsibility with positive working attitude;Excellent skills in use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office;Experience in QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP and other key accounting software is a differential;Good command of written and spoken English, Arabic will be an advantage.Other characteristics: reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently and as part of a teamWhat’s in it for you?Pathways for career developmentWork with colleagues and clients a
