Job Description

Main FunctionTo prepare the financial statements of the office and maintain & update the accounting books.Duties & Responsibilities & Standards of PerformanceI. BookkeepingPrepare all daily transactions & make sure supporting documents (e.g. invoices, receipts) are attached before data entry.Input all daily transactions (expenses, bank deposits, transfers…) into the relevant software, including purchases and their respective shipping charges.Organize & file all accounting documents and related attachments.Support payroll preparation on a monthly basis according to country legal requirements and attach all supporting documents & approvals.Update & reconcile the statement of accounts of all third parties.Manage payables by following up on existing contracts and preparing all due payments to be issued on time.Participate in preparing & computing all legal requirements regarding taxes (income, VAT, social security) and ensure all reports are submitted correctly and on time.Keep updated records of company assets concerning their physical status, labeling, related cost & depreciation calculations.May handle office petty cash by ensuring cash is given against approved payments & keeping the cash at the approved level.Prepare & update the “bank situation” report.II. Financial StatementsReview, verify & correct purchases of the month when needed.Responsible for posting all transactions between software modules.Responsible for reconciling all monetary accounts such as banks, petty cash, transitory (collection)…Responsible for reconciling suppliers of product accounts.Participate in preparing the income statement on a monthly basis with all supporting documents.Participate in preparing periodic reports related to cost per item, item turnover, variation between actual selling price & price list.Participate in preparing financial analysis & recommendations to enhance the office financial position.Participate in preparing a balance sheet on a periodic basis.III. OtherPrepare & submit a daily report about daily activities & achievements to the supervisor.Participate in providing recommendations on usage of resources & disbursements.Be responsible for abiding by & actively participating in Medicals International Quality Management system (aligned with ISO 9001:2008 standards).KnowledgeEducational BackgroundA Bachelor of Business Administration with emphasis on accounting or equivalent.MBA or a special financial accreditation is a plus.Professional Background1-2 years of experience.Specific KnowledgeExtensive knowledge of Accounting principles.Exposure to basic banking operations.Basic knowledge of Medicals International job related procedures.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel & hardware use.Knowledge of company products.SkillsTyping skills related to data entry.Computing skills.Abilities & Personal TraitsOrganized.Distinguished with accuracy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
