3D Lab Assistant

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a 3D Lab Assistant to join the College of Design.The successful candidate will support students and faculty through hands‑on lab sessions, technical guidance, and maintenance of the 3D Lab facility. The role also includes assisting with internship coordination and other academic support activities.Minimum Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university2–3 years of experience in a university or technical environmentExperience in managing and maintaining equipment inventoriesProficiency in:3D PrintingLaser CuttingWoodworking Tools3D ModelingCAD SoftwareStrong computer literacyKey ResponsibilitiesConduct and support lab assignments; assist with grading under faculty supervisionProvide support to faculty and students during lab sessions and examsAssist faculty with course files and administrative tasksAdhere to academic guidelines related to course delivery, assessment, and gradingMaintain the entire 3D lab facility, including equipment, software, and hardwareCoordinate lab activities with faculty membersManage lab inventory and collaborate with the IT DepartmentPrepare and submit purchasing requests for lab suppliesPrepare required reports and documentationWork independently and complete tasks in a timely, organized mannerDemonstrate creativity and willingness to learn new technologiesPerform additional duties as assigned by faculty, the Department Chair, or the College Dean#J-18808-Ljbffr
