As an EV Vehicle Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence and driving innovation in the automotive sector.ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting of EV powertrains, battery packs, motor controllers, and high‑voltage systems using OEM‑specific diagnostic software and tools.Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electric vehicles, including battery health assessments, cooling system checks, and software updates.Safely handle high‑voltage components and systems in strict compliance with OSHA and manufacturer safety standards, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.Interpret technical service bulletins, repair manuals, and schematics to accurately identify and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues.Collaborate with engineering and service teams to report recurring issues, recommend design improvements, and support field testing of new EV models.Maintain detailed digital service records using the company’s service management system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and warranty requirements.Stay current with evolving EV technologies, software updates, and industry best practices through ongoing training and certification programs.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and support team members.RequirementsAssociate’s degree or equivalent certification in Automotive Technology, Electrical Systems, or a related field; additional EV‑specific certifications (e.g., ASE EV, NEBOSH, or manufacturer-specific) are highly preferred.Minimum of ${minexperience} years of hands‑on experience in automotive repair, with at least ${min_ev_experience} years specializing in electric or hybrid vehicle systems.Proven proficiency with high‑voltage safety protocols, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and OEM diagnostic tools (e.g., Techstream, IDS, or equivalent).Strong understanding of battery management systems (BMS), regenerative braking, electric motors, and DC/AC power conversion.Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical service documents.Valid state‑issued driver’s license and clean driving record.Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to obtain and maintain current EV technician certifications.Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team in a fast‑paced environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
